The PCH Bookshop has been described as an "unknown gem" of Pretoria. It was started in 2008 in aid of the Princess Christian Home and is run entirely by volunteers, while books are generously donated by the community on a weekly basis.
The PCH Bookshop stocks a great variety of good quality second-hand books at low prices which ranges from non-fiction to popular fiction and collectable books.
The bookshop has a Top Sellers section, as well a selection of books for only R2, books in Afrikaans, history -, self-help -, religion books etc.>
All funds raised by the PCH Bookshop is allocated to the Princess Christian Home's special projects.
The Princess Christian Home provides 24 hour care to the elderly, those who are frail and those who suffer from Alzheimer's disease and other degenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease.
